Where Our Story Began
Every story shared by a strong survivor deepens our understanding, strengthens prevention, and brings hope to survivors.
Our work began with a simple but life-changing realization…
Allies Against Trafficking was born from firsthand work with survivors of sex trafficking, which revealed both the hidden scale of this crime and critical gaps in awareness, prevention, and support. Through the courage of survivors who shared their stories, a pattern became clear: trafficking often begins quietly, rooted in trust and vulnerability. Many did not recognize the exploitation until it was too late, or did not know that help was available. Their experiences exposed not only the hardships they endured but also the resilience and strength it takes to reclaim their lives.
Today, that insight drives our mission: to educate communities, prevent exploitation, build coordinated support networks, and provide survivor-centered care. We are guided by the voices of survivors and committed to a future where every individual has the opportunity to heal, and every community is equipped to stand against trafficking.
