Human trafficking doesn’t always look the way we expect. This training explores what human trafficking and exploitation really look like, how people may be targeted and controlled, and how trafficking can happen in communities like ours. Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs, understand common misconceptions, and know what to do when they are concerned about someone’s safety.
Staying Safe: How Exploitation Can Happen Online and In Person
Who it’s for:
Teens ages 13–17.
Description:
Exploitation doesn’t always begin with a stranger or look like what teens see in movies or online. This interactive training helps teens recognize how manipulation, grooming, relationships, social media, online communication, and other tactics can be used to exploit someone. Teens will learn how to recognize concerning situations, protect themselves both online and in person, and know when and how to seek help.
Keeping Kids Safe: Understanding Online and In-Person Exploitation

Parents, guardians, foster parents, and other adults responsible for the safety and well-being of teens.
