In advance of the “Hidden Risks: Drug Endangered Children and Family Human Trafficking Training,” Allies Against Trafficking participated in a local news interview to highlight the importance of community awareness and education. The interview focused on the often-overlooked connections between substance use, vulnerable populations, and human trafficking.

The training, to be held on January 27 from 4–7 p.m. at the ISU Alumni Center in Normal, Illinois, is in collaboration with the SIU School of Medicine and McLean County Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC). It will bring together professionals and community members to understand risk factors better, recognize warning signs, and strengthen coordinated response efforts.
