Allies Against Trafficking Incorporated

Summary

Allies Against Trafficking was officially incorporated on July 29, 2025, following nearly two years of research and development. The organization was established to lead a trauma-informed, community-wide effort to combat human trafficking through awareness, collaboration, and prevention.

After nearly two years of research, planning, and community engagement, Allies Against Trafficking was formally incorporated as a nonprofit organization. Founders Nancy Bollegar, Kelly Schwamberger, and Wendy Klinkner launched the organization after working directly with survivors of sex trafficking. These experiences revealed both the hidden nature of the crime and gaps in community awareness and response.

Survivors shared their stories, highlighting both the hardships they endured and their strength in reclaiming their lives. These insights shaped a trauma-informed approach and reinforced the need for coordinated, community-based action.

Incorporation established a formal foundation to advance the mission of combating human trafficking by raising community awareness, partnering with service providers, and empowering those most vulnerable. Increasing awareness equips communities to recognize and prevent trafficking. Strong partnerships create a more unified and effective response, while focused policy and action support lasting change.
